The story of the "sweet" is a very profound statement regarding the bees and honey. Ed was aware of the implications of radio waves, the microwave, and other frequencies referring to what would be a serious problem regarding electro magnetic currents and the colony collapse disorder of the bees.

So important that Einstein himself said:

“If the world's bees were ever to die off, owing to the lack of pollinators, humanity would follow about four years later."
